Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of tumors originating from the brain, spinal cord, spine and its surroundings are performed.
Brain tumors should be considered in patients with symptoms such as persistent and progressive headache, balance disorders, weakness, personality and behavioral changes, seizures and numbness. In patients with these symptoms;
- Diagnostic tests such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, EEG are evaluated and biopsy is performed if necessary. The type and size of the tumor and its relationship with adjacent tissues are evaluated. If necessary, microsurgical techniques, neuronavigation and intraoperative imaging are performed before surgical treatment and surgical intervention is performed in the most successful way.
- During the diagnosis, the possible character of the tumor, other treatments such as chemotherapy/radiotherapy/smart drugs to be applied are discussed in the “Oncology Council” with the participation of other relevant departments and a multidisciplinary approach and necessary plans are made.
