Wilms  tumor, which originates from kidney tissue, is seen in children under 5 years of age. It may be seen in families as swelling in the abdomen. Additionally, symptoms such as recurrent abdominal pain, blood in the urine, and high blood pressure may also be observed. Some genetic syndromes such as Beckwith-Wiedemann and Denny’s-Drash also increase the likelihood of this tumor. The diagnosis is clarified with imaging such as ultrasound and MRI. Biopsy may be required. Surgical treatment and chemotherapy are the main treatment methods.
